KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer - Product Description
The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer is no ordinary mixer. This is a top of the line, all metal mixer, that is powerful enough for even the biggest mixing tasks. The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer has a state of the art 575-watt motor which is the same type of motor used in professional kitchen mixers. It is designed to effortlessly work through even the most difficult mixing projects. The mixer is capable of mixing up to 14 cups of dry product such as flour and can do even larger mixing tasks with slightly more liquid material. The mixing basin can support up to 24 cups (6 quarts) of product for mixing.Features and Functionality
The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer is one of the most powerful home mixers you can buy. It has the capacity to mix the ingredients required to make 2 separate batches of bread simultaneously without having to do each one individually. This professional mixer comes with a wide array of attachments ideal for different cooking tasks. It has a professional wire whip, a burnished flat beater, a spiral dough hook, and a one piece pouring shield. The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer has 10 different mixing speeds available, so you can set the mixing to the correct speed of a given recipe. These speed differences allow you to do everything from a vigorous whip (for whipping cream) to a slow gradual stir (for mashed potatoes). The entire mixer is designed to help reduce spills by incorporating a gradual speedup option that starts your mixing task at a slower speed and step-wise increases speed once the product is already in motion.Clean-Up and Maintenance
The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer is coated in stain and mess resistant metal which makes clean-up a breeze. In most cases, you can simply wipe off any spills with a dry rag, and you're good to go for the next time. The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer has a multi-purpose attachment hub, which allows you to attach and detach all of the attachments, so you can easily clean them in the sink or dishwasher once you've finished mixing. This mixer also comes in more than a dozen different colors, which means no matter what your kitchen layout, you can find one that fits in with your decor perfectly. The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer measures in at 16-1/2" by 11-2/7" by 14-3/5" and comes complete with a one year hassle-free replacement warranty in case of any problems you might encounter.About the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer - Empire Red

I bought the pro 600, and I honestly could not be happier with my purchase. Some people say it won't mix smaller mixes very well, but I have not had any such problems. Maybe they were trying to just mix less than half a cup of something? Anyway, I've run this on cake batter, bread dough, pizza dough, and anything else you can think of, it it never hangs or has any trouble mixing up even the goopiest of mixes. It's basically as good a quality as you can get in a home mixer and I doubt you'll run into any task that it can't mix up for you at home. I think the only thing better might be to get an industrial strength mixer, but those will set you back thousands of dollars easy.
This mixer was much better than I expected it to be. I've so far mixed more than probably 100 things including bread and pizza dough, and this mixer has never even hesitated for a second to mix it up. If anything, I would say this mixer is too easy to OVER mix stuff, cause you expect some initial slow period, but it really just plows through the mixing process with ease. This here is a very high quality mixer for almost any task you throw at it.
Alright, I admit it, I love making cookies. I probably bake at least a batch of cookies every week. With my kitchenaid 600 mixer, mixing up a batch of cookie dough is easy as pie. I've made oatmeal, chocolate chip, peanut butter, raisin, all with no problems at all in mixing the ingredients. It's real easy to clean up too at the end of the job.
Alright, let me start out by saying this mixer DOES NOT beat down the top end professional grade mixers. Why? Cause those things have engines in them like lawn mowers and they cost thousands of dollars. However, those mixers are not meant for people to have at home. For example, the one we have at our bakery requires a fork lift to lift it and place it in place. It probably weighs over a ton! With that said, this mixer is probably one of the best personal home mixers I've ever used, it does an excellent job mixing decent sized home batches of dough and cake mix, and it doesn't require you to take out a loan or reinforce your kitchen floor. To the people who said this is better than a professional mixer, get real idiots. This is a good mixer though, but just keep some perspective people.
This mixer just crushes, and I mean crushes, our old cuisinart mixer that cost us almost the same amount of money as this. Ridiculous. Just get this one people, and forget about all the wannabe contenders that pretend like they are a kick ass piece of equipment when all they are is a piece of S#1T!
As soon as I started really getting into cooking, I realized I couldn't keep up with the mixing tasks as well as I should. I decided to get a mixer, and after reading reviews, I settled on the Kitchenaid Pro 600 series. Wow, what a good choice. This thing has no problems at all ripping through anything I throw at it. I couldn't imagine a mixer better equipped at even your gnarliest of mixing tasks. A great product from Kitchenaid and one I highly recommend you consider picking up if you can.
